Tacoma, WA – December 2024 – Aquagga is proud to share highlights from an impactful year of progress and growth. The company’s patented hydrothermal alkaline treatment (HALT) process continues to solidify its position as the industry’s leading PFAS destruction technology, with strong pilot results and strategic partnerships laying the foundation for robust market adoption.

In October, Dhileep Sivam joined Aquagga as CEO, partnering with co-founders Chris Woodruff (COO) and Brian Pinkard (CTO) to drive the commercialization of HALT. 

2024 Key Achievements

Market Expansion: Through enhanced customer discovery efforts, Aquagga identified significant opportunities in the semiconductor and solid waste sectors, positioning HALT to address critical PFAS challenges.

Team Growth: The company expanded its team across Research & Development, Product Development, and hiring a Director of Industrial Sales to support commercialization efforts.

Technical Progress: Aquagga’s Product Development team completed its second Steed unit build, integrating learnings from previous pilot projects. 

Peer-Reviewed Validation: In collaborative partnership with 3M, results were published from a feasibility study and pilot demonstration. These studies confirm HALT’s ability to completely destroy PFAS in high-salinity environments, making the technology well-suited for a wide range of industrial applications.

Industry Recognition: Aquagga was honored with the 2024 Emerging Company Award by the CleanTech Alliance, acknowledging its innovation and impact in the cleantech sector.

As Aquagga enters 2025, the team remains focused on advancing HALT’s commercialization and delivering meaningful impact in the fight against PFAS.
